In this workshop, we'll cover everything you need to know about finding and purchasing the perfect homestead—from financing and grants to soil quality and water sources. Our expert Homestead Realtors leave no stone unturned.

April 26th
Come join us at Patti's Place in Winchester for a hands-on Sourdough Bread-making workshop! Ouma will be guiding the class and will even provide each participant with their very own sourdough starter in a individual glass jar. Spaces are limited, so be sure to grab your tickets soon!

June 7th
Learn to raise and butcher chickens from start to finish! During this workshop, the folks at Carter Hall Farm will cover everything from purchasing chicks to processing them and all the necessary equipment.

Ouma of Patti's Place in Winchester has generously offered to share her nutrient-packed Bone Both recipe with our community! Join us as we go through the steps in making chicken bone broth and discuss all the benefits that come from this super-food.

A common struggle that beginner beekeepers can face is keeping their bees alive during the colder months. In this workshop, we'll cover how to prepare your beehives for the winter to keep them thriving for years to come!

A workshop the whole family can enjoy! Learn the ins and outs of gardening and how to grow your own nutritious food (and maybe even some flowers) from Christa of LaGrange Family Farm.

Local Homesteader, Erin of Liberty Hills Farm, is a skilled professional markswoman who will teach you essential firearm handling techniques and how to stay composed in high-pressure situations. Perfect for anyone looking to enhance their personal safety and preparedness!

Want to take your self-sufficiency to a whole new level? Learning the skill of hog butchering will get you there! The Boyce family, owners of Mountain View Meats, have years of experience in butchering large animals and will be leading this educational workshop for us!

Rotational Grazing is not only extremely beneficial for your livestock, but also your pasture health. Caleb, of Back to Basics Farm, is a local regenerative farmer who will be guiding us on a tour of his farm to show us first-hand how he rotationally grazes his cattle & sheep.

Homesteader's Meetings
