Intro to
Rotational Grazing

July 2023

We're kicking off the 2023 FCH Workshop Season with an on farm discussion style workshop. Caleb Fahnestock of Back to the Basics Farm will walk participants through the benefits of rotational grazing to overall livestock health. As well as explain how this lost skill is key to preserving what agricultural land is left in our county.  This workshop will help homesteaders and famers design and manage their grazing schedules while implementing ancestral skills to better steward their land.

Real Estate 101: Homestead Edition

November 2023

It’s no secret that homesteading is on the rise as more & more individuals realize they would like to have a deeper sense of connection with the food they’re consuming. Step one of starting is having the skills to select the right property. Samantha Armel of Heritage Group Real Estate will guide participants through the important steps of knowing what to look for during a property search as well as which questions to ask before ever making an offer. Leave equipped with the knowledge and resources you need to purchase your homestead.

Social Media for your Homestead

August 2023

Dayna Geraghty of Geraghty's Micro Farm will cover the daunting details of getting your homestead seen on social media.

We live in a world where many small businesses are found using devices such as your phone or computer. While it wasn't always a necessity to have a social media presence, Dayna will spend the afternoon explaining why she thinks it's an essential aspect of having a successful business.
