About the event
Join us for our Frederick County Homesteaders March Member Meeting on March 12th at 6:30PM for an evening rooted in practical skills, good company, and spring planning.
We’ll gather at Patti’s Place at Laurel Grove Wine Farm for an inspiring workshop: “Making Seed Snails & Planning Your Market Garden.”
This month, we’re thrilled to feature:
🌱 Kirsten Tesdall of Five Roots Farm
Kirsten will guide us through the art of making Seed Snails— a simple, space-saving seed-starting method perfect for homesteaders working with limited indoor growing space. Whether you’re starting tomatoes, herbs, or hardy greens, this technique can transform your spring setup.
🥕 Joy Horton, Market Gardener at Patti's Place
Joy will share key insights for planning your market garden with intention — from crop selection and succession planning to maximizing productivity and profitability for the season ahead.
✨ Members will have time to reconnect with our community, chat all things spring gardens, and set ourselves up for a fruitful season.
☕ Enjoy delicious pastries from Ouma's Kitchen and a warm beverage as we gather, learn, and plan for success this Spring.
Come ready to take notes, ask questions, and leave encouraged — because gardens grow best when community grows alongside them. 🌿
