We’re finally seeing above-freezing temperatures and melting snow here in Frederick County—which means spring is just around the corner. That also means it’s time for our first major event of the year: the Spring Farm Hop, happening April 18th at the Frederick County Fairgrounds. It’s shaping up to be a can’t-miss community celebration of local agriculture.

What Is a Farm Hop?

The Spring Farm Hop brings the best parts of our semi-annual farm crawls together in one convenient location. Instead of traveling from farm to farm, you can hop from booth to booth—meeting farmers face-to-face, interacting with animals, discovering handmade goods, and learning directly from the people who steward our land. It’s a day designed to make local farms, homesteads, and agricultural resources more accessible while continuing the spirit of supporting Frederick County and surrounding agriculture.
