About the event
Join special guests Nick Freitas and Joel Salatin on Monday, November 18th, from 6:30-8:30PM for the Frederick County Homesteaders' annual Homestead Harvest Gathering at West Oaks Farm Market. Hear about Food Freedom in Virginia and learn ways to get involved during the 2025 House of Delegates session, all whie enjoying a potluck meal with local farmers and homesteaders.

Nick Freitas, host of Making the Argument, represents the 67th District in the Virginia House of Delegates and is a husband, father, homesteader, and Green Beret Combat Veteran.
Joel Salatin, a pioneer in the modern homestead movement, is the founder and farmer at Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia. He speaks internationally on regenerative farming practices and food freedom, and was recently name as an Advisor to the Secretary at the USDA for the incoming Trump Administration.
