What's a Farm Crawl?
We're glad you asked! A day spent exploring Frederick County’s finest in local farms and homesteads while participating in farm related activities, sampling local farm fare, touring each farm, and getting to know your local farmers! Each farm or homestead will have their own activities to offer on the day of the event which may include farm products for sale, tours, Q&A’s, demos, exclusive CSA sign ups, and maybe even a hayride or two.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Farm Crawl is a self-directed event where the participants drive themselves from farm to farm. You choose what farms to visit and in what order. You also choose how much time to spend at each farm.
ACTIVITIES
Hayrides, picnics, demonstrations, specials, cut your own flowers, and more! Frederick County Homesteaders recognize the long history of agriculture in our county. Our goal is to build bridges within our community between farmers and families to ensure future generations have access to the best Frederick County has to offer.
FARM ETIQUETTE
Please remember, each farm determines the rules for their farm. Many of these locations are their homes. Please respect the folks who are inviting you into their operations. DO NOT open gates or cross fences. (You don't want to end up in a bullfight or getting zapped by an electric fence.) DO NOT touch any animals without permission from the farmer. DO NOT try to hop on a tractor and drive away. (You'll be tackled before you ever get it started!). Other than that, bring a smile and be prepared for fun!
WHAT TO BRING?
We look forward to joining you fun packed day (RAIN OR SHINE) and come prepared to be outdoors. Sunscreen, water bottles, mud boots, coolers (for purchased goods) and an open mind for adventure and fun are recommended! Children are encouraged to join us, however, dogs and pets should remain at home please (remember, these are working farms).
