About the event
Join us for a day of exploration and connection at the Frederick County Homesteaders Semi-Annual Farm Crawl, happening on June 14th from 8 AM to 5 PM! This self-guided tour of local farms offers a unique opportunity to see where your food comes from, meet passionate farmers, and experience the beauty of Frederick County, VA.
Event Schedule:
• Check-In: 8:00 AM at Solenberger’s Hardware in Winchester, VA
• Farm Crawl: Begin your scenic drive and visit a variety of farms throughout Frederick County.
• Lunch on the Lawn: 12:00 PM at Simple Gifts Farmstead—Enjoy a locally sourced lunch featuring pulled chicken sandwiches made with chicken from Carter Hall Farm in Stephens City, VA. (Lunch tickets are sold separately from Farm Crawl tickets.)
• Wine Tasting at Patti’s Place: Stop by Laurel Grove Wine Farm for a delightful wine tasting experience. Sample locally crafted wines in a beautiful setting. (Wine tasting tickets are sold separately.)
Throughout the day, take a tour of each participating farm, learn about sustainable farming practices, and see firsthand the hard work that goes into producing your food. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this event is a perfect way to experience the heart of our farming community.

Enjoy this self paced, self guided tour of Frederick County's farms and homesteads. There are lots of exciting updates this year including a locally sourced menu during Lunch on the Lawn (at Simple Gifts Farmstead), a wine tasting at Patti's Place at Laurel Grove Wine Farm, Shop Local Bags FILLED with Farm Crawl Goodies (free to members and available for purchase for all Crawlers), demos, vendors, music, and more! Enjoy a day spent exploring the beauty of Frederick County and getting to know your local farmers.
