About the event
We're kicking off the 2023 FCH Workshop Season with our pals Caleb Fahnestock, of Back-to-Basics Farm and Dayna Geraghty, of Geraghty’s MicroFarm. Caleb & Dayna will cover the essentials of rotational grazing for beginners as well as explain how this lost skill is key to preserving what agricultural land is left in our county. Participants will discover benefits to overall livestock health, pasture quality, and herd management. Our Intro to Rotational Grazing workshop will help homesteaders and famers design and manage their grazing schedules while implementing ancestral skills to better steward their land.
This workshop is limited to 50 participants on a first come first serve basis. Workshop details will be emailed to attendees before the event to include recommended attire, event outline, lunch menu, farm directions, and more. Please email support@frederickcountyhomesteaders.com with questions or call (540) 664-5104 to speak with Samantha directly.
